NieR was honestly too easy. In the graphics department it was like a ps2 game, which I have no problem with cause I'm not one for graphics. I'm all gameplay and this game was too easy. It's either it's too easy or after you play Ninja Gaiden everything becomes easy in the action/adventure department.
But Story and MUSIC! [stress on MUSIC!!! Excellent]. The Story was a real high point also. Cavia developed it and Square Enix published. And by no means was it the generic Japanese game [saving the world etc]. The protagonist is a 40 year old father and you're just trying to save your daughter from a disease.
Interesting events that took place:
*A mom ditched her children to run away with a man and she and the man ended up dead.
*This mute chick helped you and was really nice. You took up her request to save her king. 5 years after that, she and the king were gonna get married and invited you. On the day of the wedding, right before they kissed, a wolf jumped out and killed her.
*This nice little boy that that joined your party found out a way to cure his eye sight. End process resulted in him undergoing 'human transmutation' and looking like a freak show.

^ that's how the youth ended up[penultimate to the right]. Large white head and bones for body, honestly unexpected!!
*All the so called Shades or Monsters you were fighting against were actually the Real humans and None of the 'humans' in your world were real, including yourself. You were merely shells for a human experiment that occurred 1300 years ago when humanity faced extinction.
Now thinking back there's too much to list. It had alot of interesting events and after you beat the game you could load your completed saved data and replay the second half of the story with more dialogue and cutscenes. You actually got to see the story from the Enemy's [Shades/Real Humans] perspective during this 2nd playthrough and got a different ending. After completing the game this 2nd time you could load this completed data and play over the 2nd half of the game again. But this time after final boss you would be given a choice and depending on your selection you'd get one of the additional 2 endings.
Basically the game has 4 endings A, B, C and if you make the choice that gives you ending D. I think the games asks you if you're sure about your choice for ending D at least 3 times and then asks you to enter your character's name [it has that much of a fail safe] because once you choose to view ending D the game erases all your saved data O.o so yeah 30 hours of wasted time gone down the deleted drain.
I've gotta get this Sound Track, this game has Glorious/Spectacular/Awesome/ EPIC! MUSIC! The Composer is Rated Highly by me.
The Vocals in this entire Soundtrack = WINNN! ...I need to get this OST
